Testimonials

“My mother has been a resident here for several years. She is receiving thoughtful and personal care. The staff each have their own relationships with her and know her individually. Miss Gail at the front desk is the most amazing ambassador – both a fairy godmother to the residents, as well as a great comforter and liaison to the family members. We are lucky to have formed this vital relationship. The administrators and medical professionals have done a great job of keeping her safe and healthy during the pandemic – and the terrible isolation it’s brought with it. We have been very glad to have my mom here during this extra stressful time for vulnerable persons like her.”

Before surgery I was emotionally drained and frustrated… The knowledge and understanding and patience for mental and physical conditions are there. As a resident many words come to mind to explain how I feel, first and foremost is gratitude and appreciation. Lord knows from every staff member physical and occupational therapist nursing staff and nurse aids alike and maintenance and cleaning staff who tidy rooms to dietitian and kitchen crew have made Joy possible. From the first phone call to the admission office before surgery. I’d like to especially thank Sophie for her sincere concern and graceful personality when we first spoke and then met. The communication is on a good level with staff and residents therefore a comfortable place at highland as a community, that being said, I wish the best for all friends I’ve had the pleasure to know, and special thanks to Gale who warmed my heart when she so kindly made sure every word and letter and stamps were sufficient before I let her know I was mailing two bracelets to my daughter for her birthday… Now I know it was destiny that I experienced the Highland Square Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for the life of me…
